Junior Leaders Program
The Junior Leader program is a summer leadership program for interested students ages 10-12. Parents will pay an adjusted rate for summer care for their junior leader, and the junior leader will develop important skills such as problem-solving, communication, creativity, teamwork, and earn their CPR/First Aid certification!
What are Junior Leaders?
Junior Leaders are crucial members of the OnTrac Learning Center’s Summer Preschool program! As a Junior Leader, you have the chance to work closely with our Preschool Teachers, provide a great experience for young children, have fun, and earn your CPR/First Aid certificate!
What Will I Be Doing?
Junior Leaders support the Preschool Teachers and play a vital role in directly helping with daily activities and working with preschoolers doing projects, playing games, playing at the splash park, pool, and more! *Junior Leaders will never be left alone with preschool students or expected to help with changing or bathrooming*
What are the Requirements?
To apply to be a Junior Leader, you must be:
- Between the ages of 10-12
- Able to communicate with Director and Teachers days of absence, needs, etc.
- Willing to work one on one with preschool students doing projects, play games with them, assist with routines, etc.
- Exhibit a positive attitude that welcomes atmosphere of acceptance, creativity, and learning.
- Set a good example for preschool student – act appropriately in all actions and thoughts.
- Help to provide a safe, comfortable, and caring environment.
- Participate fully in all activities.
- Complete the attached application and writing prompt. Please note that incomplete or poorly-completed applications will not be considered, so be prepared to submit a thorough and thoughtful response!
Applications Due to the TRAC front desk by May 10th. Junior Leaders will be chosen by our application board. Limited spots available.
